Ocean Village – Childcare

Ocean Village childcare for ages 6 months – 2 years:

Babies and toddlers on a cruise are made more welcome by Ocean Village. At Base Camp during opening hours, parents must stay with them at the centre. Parents can enjoy a break on mornings when the Ocean Village ship is in port and can leave their child in good hands while they go ashore.

Remember to bring all of your baby's essentials with you e.g nappies, bottles etc. Disposable nappies, baby wipes and sterilising fluid are available in the shops on-board although it’s recommend that you bring your own with you, then top up on board Ocean Village if you need to. There will also be a limited number of bottle warmers and sterilising equipment on board.
Cots are provided by Ocean Village , as are bed guards for young children and safety nets for cabins with balconies. Please let us know once you've booked, as we'll need to request any of these items before you go. Please note that similar facilities for babies and young children may not be available in the land stay hotels.

We recommend that you bring a lightweight collapsible pram or pushchair with you, but please note that it must be stored in your cabin.

Please note that babies under 12 months cannot travel on transatlantic Ocean Village holidays. Where cots are used please note that 3rd and 4th berths may not be used (except AA and AB grade cabins).

Ocean Village childcare for children 3-8 years (and 3-4 years and 5-8 years in peak periods):

Children aged 3-8 are sure to have a great time on Ocean Village with an extensive programme of play, sport and entertainment to keep them fully occupied. Some typical activities include:

Ocean Village childcare for children aged 9-17 years:

The Childcare centre on Ocean Village remains open until midnight for older children and during peak school holiday periods extended hours and extra arrangements are laid on for 13-17's. Teens also have their own area called the Hideout on deck 2 where they'll find loads of cool stuff going on - including videos, karaoke, competitions and more.

Ocean Village has an extensive programme including art and crafts, sports, game shows, pool games, workshops, quizzes, movies, videogames and a club dinner. Some typical Ocean Village activities might include:

In addition to the dedicated fully netted family deck area outside Base Camp (with netted play area and paddling pool), you'll find some great facilities on the main decks - with table tennis tables and a netted area for football and basket ball. While the Crystal Pool is for adults only, the Riviera Pool is open to both adults and children (although kids need to be supervised at all times). Between the two pools are 4 outdoor Jacuzzis (these cannot be used by under 10's and children aged between 10 and 16 must be accompanied by an adult).
